Stocking Stuffer

"Stocking Stuffer"
6x6  Oil on museum quality panel
$95

While some of the Daily Painters have been painting some great Christmas ornaments, I've been wiping out mine.  I've decided I just have been not been painting my favorite Christmas things. So back to the drawing board & some oranges.  Oranges are always one of the favorite things in my stocking.  We'll see whether I can paint some a bit more holiday inspired before the 25th.

I so remember oranges in my stocking....thanks so much for that childhood memory of Christmas pasts. Lovely piece today ...,great stocking stuffed in itself.

Lovely jolt of color - makes me want one! I myself never got fruit in my stocking (my parents were orphans and no matter what Christmas was Over The Top! - Remember Fannie Farmer Candy? My stocking was FULL of that!) but my husband treasured the fruit in his stocking, and we continued that tradition with our kids - but added candy!

I too always had an orange in my Christmas stocking...though the Lifesaver book was my favorite!
Thanks for the sweet reminder with this lovely piece!
