Perfect Pear - SOLD

6x6 $95 + $10 s/h

I'm back to playing with my food again.  Been off the still life for awhile so just doing some studies to get reacquainted.  Had to paint the pear today because I eat the cherries from yesterday.  I guess it's the "Risk/Reward" system.  Risk a painting, Reward with eating the subject matter.  Now I'm feeling like a trip to the Chocolate Shop.  We'll see.

I agree so much with you Kelley - love eating my props!
Pears are so robust and wonderfully shaped, which you captured so well.
Thanks for the kind words on my blog too.

Très jolie votre peinture... Eve avait manger la pomme, pourquoi pas la poire! Mais en ce qui me concerne si je peignais des cerises elles seraient englouties avant la fin de la réalisation du tableau!
Amitiés.

Dont you dare paint chocolate a pear I can handle the desire to eat but chocolate would be a step too far. Love this painting well done.

This is a wonderful pear. I have done a painting called apples and oranges (sold) and one that is in a juired show now, called peaches and cream. They are all from my head. I have yet to look at a real fruit and capture it in my paints. You have inspired me. Are you in NC too?
