If you have never ridden with an artist, then you haven't felt real fear.  Artists are always looking for potential subject matter even when we drive.  After dropping off paintings at my gallery in Beaufort, I cut down a side street and found this.  The light was spilling over this home and I had to have a picture.  I quickly grabbed my camera and took a shot thru the front windshield.  I was so excited until I realized that my car had come to a stop in the middle of an intersection.  Thank goodness there were no other cars only 2 tourists (I hope not locals) looking at me like I was crazy.  I rolled down my window and said "I'm an artist, just had to have that picture".  They politely smiled and no doubt thought there goes another crazy artist.  Yep!  That's me.

It's been a whole week since I posted anything.  Lots happening at the studio.  Cleaning out, teaching, working on summer class schedule, marketing & working on this painting.  I now have about 4 more coastal paintings to work on and then full court press on a bit of a different direction.  Nothing like cleaning out the cobwebs to get painting engine cranked up.  When someone asks what I have planned for the holiday weekend, my favorite response is PAINT!!!!!  Happy weekend.

 This is a favorite haunt of mine, Charleston,SC.  Visited many times but never took a horse drawn carriage tour but somehow every group of photos that I come home with, there seems to be at least one carriage photo among them.  Love strolling Charleston's cobblestone streets, feeling the coastal breeze, shopping & eating at the many fabulous restaurants featuring something with "grits".  It's a southern thing, I know.  You might think you have seen this painting before.  You have.  I posted a few months ago but it wasn't for sale until now. You will also notice I have figured out the stupid button thing.  All you have to do is click on the "buy now" button & off you go.
