My New Obsession

"Pomegranates"
6x6  Oil on museum quality panel
Reserved - Randy Higbee 6x6 Show

I've drank pomegranate juice, I've painted whole pomegranates but I've never cut into a pomegranate. It's different experience cutting into yourself.  Pomegranate juice running & seeds rolling everywhere.  This is one the most exhilarating experiences I've had at the easel in awhile.  You could say I'm "pumped"!

Oh happy day for you. As artists we are always striving to find ca new.love....and how you beautifully found yours. And isn't just like you to find one of the more difficult subjects. You really rendered those pomogranate kernals so well and with such ease.

Beautiful painting. I grew up around pomegranates in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I love their flavor and breaking into one is quite an experience. You are so talented.

Ooooh! I love this one! The inside is so much more interesting than the outside. Other-worldly! Love the colors, love the way the kernels cluster together. Verrrrry inviting!
