A Challenge

"San Francisco Street"
8x6  Oil on board
$125

This was a "challenge" painting by a wonderful artist, Terry Miura.  I love painting cityscapes but do struggle with sometimes trying to simplify all that happens on a busy city street.  This challenge I also roped my friend, Julie Hill, into doing with me at 4 o'clock yesterday. Lucky her, she lives on the west coast & had a few more of hours of light.  Happy painting!

Well, I do have to thank you for roping me in....it was a great challenge. You did wonderfully simplifying, yet maintaining the busyness of the street scene.

Fabulous job! Nice atmospheric perspective, too... You know, Girls Just Wanna Paint are mulling a big time get-together in New England in a year or so, you will have to 'rope' Julie in for that, too! Bonfires on the beach... seafood and painting - how fun would THAT be?
