A fellow DPO painter,
Kelley MacDonald & I have had some of the same
technical Facebook/Blogger issues and have "shared" our frustrations. Thinking it might be
targeted directly towards us, she aptly named it "
Kelley Warp". So in that vein, my iPhone (less than 2 mos. old) totally died on my today. After trying to make an appt. online, no success, then calling the Apple store for an hour (line busy) I finally was able to get an appt. for tomorrow, late afternoon. I'm starting to think this "Kelley Warp" thing is real. All I have to say is watch out Kelley Mac., it might be your turn tomorrow. Now the bright spot today was getting a call from a friend, who had a bunch of beautiful red sunflowers for me.
Thanks Rod.

Kelley...so sorry for your tech struggles of late...but let's focus on the positive here. This lil' gem is AWESOME! I love the way you captured the flopping down sunflowers...that is just what they do....perfect rendering of colors too! a fab piece!
P.S. love the title of blog entry and the title of the lil' gem.
This is one of my favorites...more Kelley warp please!
Good luck at the Apple store! I recently was 11min. late for our "genius bar" appt. at one for my daughter's IPod. They cancel your appt. after 10min. No way I was going to let the smurf in charge send me home! It all worked out, but it's an out of body experience there. Good luck!
Lovely artwork by the way - The flowers have me thinking of the autumn.
Love this painting...red...one of my most favorite colors! Love how loose and gestural all of the brush stokes are.
Your frustrations didn't show themselves in your painting. Lovely, loose and free : )
Lol! This post was so funny.
You do know Kelley ate all of those gold crayolas when she was young so who knows what kind of heavy metal interference and super position manipulation she is capable of. Proceed with caution.
The flowers are really beautiful. Love your confident, loose hand!
This is one of my favorites also. Love the colors. Looks so immediate and fresh.
Hey Gwen, no spilling my life secrets! ;)
OK, I did eat a gold crayon in a jealous rage at age 5. I am CURED, you hear? And... Kelley - my day was the same as yours - my cable that opens the gas door in my car just 'fell' off - It's inside the chassis, so no human intervention there - $250 to get it fixed - I couldn't 'share' or 'comment', AND I got the response to a juried show I'd entered - and my entry slip was not in the envelope - it was a like a joke day!
I'm sure we'll have a *Kelley Magic* day soon...
p.s. I love the painting - maybe you channeled your angst and made something beautiful with it!
Lovely use of colour Kelley. These red sunflowers look so happy... if this painting is a 'Kelley Warp' it is a beautiful warp to be in.

I like the thinkness of the blue paint, this has a retro look. Neat
Nice color contrast! Nice work
Since I practically "live " at the apple store ... taking classes all of the time ... I do have to say that they are amazing and I do hope they fix or give you a new phone. Same thing happened to me in January. It is hard to get an appt. at the genius bar and I would always say NEVER CALL them, always try to do it on line. And yes, don't be late, they will cancel your appointment.
All that said, your painting is beautiful.
I hope your tech woes come to an end! There's nothing more frustrating. The red sunflowers make me happy; I love the crossed stems at the bottom!
Thanks everybody for your kind comments and sympathy of my tech problems but all is fixed now. Yipee!
Nice one! Very lively with great color!
